What are we all willing to do for success? Is there an ethical line we won’t cross as we pursue our careers? Can we recognize the moment when humanity starts to become lost in the race for money and fame? Are we ready to endure these questions and take a critical look at our life path?

Mephisto was directed by Haris Pašović as the closing performance for the Cultural Capital of Europe 2022 edition in Novi Sad, Serbia at the National Serbian Theater. Choreographed by LEE\VAKULYA, the show deals with Klaus Mann's novel through a 4-hour play where the simultaneous blending of text and movement creates a twisted world of the early and late nazi era, through the scope of a little-known actor who makes his way to the top chair of National Theater of Germany.
